Do enclosures with ethernet/usb3/etc peripherals steal from GPU bandwidth?

As the title asks, looking into the Core X and in terms of cleanliness on my desk it'd be nice to have that enclosure be the docking station for other peripherals as well, but am curious if this effects the available bandwidth for using the eGPU.

Yes, but there are exceptions.

The maximum speed your eGPU can use is around 22Gbps (PCI-E - Data), that's the limitation. So say if you have a SSD connected to the enclosure, the bandwidth will be shared with that SSD.

Exception for example is that if you decided to daisy chain a monitor through that docking station (not on the eGPU), as DisplayPort through TB uses another channel, unless it exceeds the remaining bandwidth, i.e. (40 - 22 Gbps = 18 Gbps), your eGPU will still run at full bandwidth. But why would someone run a monitor through internal GPU and not connecting it through the eGPU...
