Hi, I would like to know what board I can be doing egpu with the intel i7-8550U specs below;

Dell Inspiron 15 5570

Processor
Cores/Threads: 4/8
Processor Base Frequency: 1.80 GHz
Max Turbo Frequency: 4.00 GHz

RAM
8 GB DDR4 2400 MHz (upgrade available)

Video card
AMD 530 4 GB/UHD 620

And since it already has the AMD video card, it needs to be from the same manufacturer, or can I use one from nvidia?

I do not speak English, I hope you can understand me, thanks!

The onboard, discrete video card doesn't limit your external GPU options and an nVidia solution will work just fine. The CPU is prone to thermal throttling but the size of the laptop should help keep it considerably cooler than what I'm running (13" Dell with this years version of the same CPU).

Ok, thanks!

Which video card, and which adapter would you recommend me to use?

The only one I've used is the Aorus Gaming Box 2070. I'm happy with it thus far but have nothing to compare it with so I cant make any recommendation.

Hi @Zonimi, @madweazl is using TB3 egpu I think your laptop doesn’t have one, you have to use maybe your express card inside to use egpu setting if you don’t have Thunderbolt port.

@joi_kansai, Oh yes, which adapter do you find it easy to set up? I was thinking of M.2 (R43SG) but I do not know ...

I’m not quite detailed about express card egpu but @nando4 knows better and has great result and you can check this.
