I have a MBP mid 2014 with T2 ports. I am trying to set up a Sonnet Puck with a Radeon RX 560 as eGPU, using original Apple cables and T2 > T3 converter.

Following the instructions by goalque here to the letter using the automate EFI boot from an external USB drive I simply cannot get it to work. My system recognizes the eGPU, but I don't get the icon in the menu bar and the MBP obviously doesn't send any data to the eGPU (tried connecting an external monitor also, no joy).

What am I doing wrong ? Ideas ? Thanks!

EDIT: my system is obviously 'seeing' the eGPU. Tried running X-Plane 11.5b (latest) and am seeing great frame rates which the internal GPU could never achieve. However: still no icon and still no signal to my external monitor (32" LG 4k), neither from the MBP port nor from the eGPU.

System is:

MBP 15" mid 2014

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

OS Mojave 10.14.1

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
