@guideofgalaxy, would love to see some pics!

I've been tweaking my build slightly over the last week or so and now have BT working in macOS so I can use my Mac peripherals making it feel just like a real Mac! It's pretty wild... although speakers and webcam do not work in macOS they do in W10.

yeah I solved this issue with wifi and bluetooth not working by replacing the wifi/BT m.2 chip with a broadcomm wifi/bt chip I had one I used in another ITX build I bought ages ago its 100% an apple one so it just works.

you just need to remove the VRM heat sink and cover and you can access the M.2 chip where the IO is.

I always do this with all boards I get most aren't compatable out of the box.

@eightarmedpet, I am in the middle of editing a build guide for a youtube video with the parts I used etc and I will down the track do a hackintosh guide, just running a bit behind on video projects for my channel and other things.

@itsage, the only thing I’ve changed is bios settings but nothing that I can think of that relates to tb3?

Hey beautiful people! This is only one of three threads I was able to find on the Internet that touch on the LG UltraFine and getting it to work with an eGPU. I thought I'll write up my setup so that other unfortunate souls find the info they need. (Although I'm using a dGPU for the purpose)

Thanks to @itsage for the pointer about the THB_C header, that was a b*tch to figure out on my own.

So, I got the LG UltraFine 5k to work with a dGPU via a Gigabyte Titan Bridge AIC. The AIC is connected only to power and to a single usb 2.0 header. The THB_C cable is not connected at all, I also don't have that header on my motherboard - AsRock B450 Pro4. The whole thing was a plug-and-play, no additional drivers or software needed.

The GPU driving it all is an RTX 2070 SUPER, which outputs its signal via 2 DisplayPort cables to the Titan Bridge AIC. Then the AIC sends those via a Thunderbolt to the Monitor. Windows boots up perfectly fine and 5K works like a charm. (It's a first revision LG UltraFine)

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
