LG ultrafine 4k to regular windows gaming desktop setup
I currently own a 16 inch macbook pro, but i was looking into getting a gaming pc due to customization that it allows. I currently use my 16 inch macbook pro with the 24" LG Ultrafine and it works great! but the thing is I wish to still use this monitor if i was go get a gaming pc. My question is, would the monitor work including the audio if i were to simply connect the usb-c cable from the rtx 2080 usb-c port into the usb-c port of the LG Ultrafine?
Also, if anyone has done this technique before and it does work, how is your experience with using the monitor to play games?
Thanks in advance!
@desperado, USB-C port of RTX should work and give audio. For brightness control, you might need the Boot Camp driver which gives a brightness option in the Boot Camp control panel (I think - I haven't tried it). Otherwise you can use an app that uses DDC/CI to change the bright ness.

@joevt, Thank you! I appreciate you for the info. I was worried about needing a new monitor. I was planning on still using my macbook with this Ultrafine for work related needs, but wanted to see if possible to use with a windows machine. Thanks again! 😀
