32 Gb, you could see it in the picture: used 12,47 free 19,53
Only the connector from the led was a little bit tight,
but the ramswap was okay.

Interesting thing, because my ram power is about 3 Watts in idle and about 4,5 W in full load. Mine goes
not above 3,1ghz in full load and max power is about 55W 😕  What Ram you have installed? Mine is Crucial CT16G4SFD8266

The i7-8700B on the Mac mini 2018 runs at 95,4% ✔️

I've done this to test the cpu:
-4 hours of prime95, 12Threads, 8k for max heat
-than Cinebench 15 -> 1211 pts    result "cold"->1269 pts

So you saying it reduces speed by 4.6% when its at max temp?

yes, at 100% Multicore Load ....like video-rendering this is the Power you get

I have the same Ram:

Oh no, i think with the update to 10.14.2 Apple changed something,
because my tool to edit the fan/temperature-curve was gone.

One of the important changes for me was:
- if the Cpu goes over 70 degrees (happens only high at multicore-load)
than push the fan to 100% ->4.400 rpm

I don't hear the mini, with this small changes,
the fan curve was only a little bit steeper.

Now the tool is gone, but i know that there is no
thermal problem, and it's the mini is very quiet. ❤️

You are searching for the 20w between 55w and 75w?
Maybe this is the result of my fan-curve-change so that
the cpu runs 200Mhz higher.

I have to test it today with the update to 10.14.2
and without fan-curve-changes.

Throttleing under 3.1Ghz is possible, because 8k is
"the max heat test" 😊.

Today I sticked with Liquid metal "Conductonaut". Now it goes very well.

3
core1
core2
highest
lowest

We have about 0°C outside here, so it put the mini outside and went over VNC to control it. I pushed the fans to the max with "Macs Fan Control". So it will not go over 3,5ghz even if the temps are 10-15°C lower. 3,6ghz has been seen for 2-3 seconds but thats it. But look at the pictures.
