Hi,
I used the Purge-Wrangler script the way described here: https://egpu.io/forums/builds/late-2013-mac-pro-rx-vega-64-16gbps-tb2-razer-core-x-via-tb3-tb2-adapter-mac-os-10-14-1-jinoish/
The OS X is 10.14.5 Mojave. The GPU card is a PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB.
The Razer Core X shows up in System Information under the Thunderbolt Bus 1 as Core X. However, when I connect it to the monitor I get the black screen, as if the Vega64 would be dead. I tried the HDMI port and also all the three Displayports with no success. The Activity Monitor GPU History window does not show the Vega 64 card, just the two internal FirePro D300s.
Any good hint what can be the problem?
Thanks ahead,

Is the RX Vega 64 new? What does System Information > Graphics/Display show?

Hi itsage,
In the meantime I made it to work. The problem was I made the fixing of the the cables too tight to the frame and that pulled the card out from the slot to that extent, that the machine could not recognize it. Removing the velcro fixers and re-seating the card made the thing fly.
Thanks a lot,
János

Hello
Just wondering if you feel your eGPU/Enclosure is a good value and works consistently?
I have the trash can and am considering getting an eGPU.
Thanks,
Andy

.Hi Andrew,
I think yes. I bought it mostly for programs where I can tap into the eGPU to speed up computations. At this moment I switched back to the Apple supplied cards, but hopefully soon I will use them again. They provide 5-10 times the speedup compared to the inside GPUs.
Good luck with your trashcan upgrade.
Best, János
