Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone who has done some performance testing on this;

With the Mantiz Pro, would the performance of the GPU take a huge hit, if we have software, games, etc, on the built in SATA Drive or is it better to have an external hooked up directly to your Computer?

I've tried reading up on it but I'm afraid I'm too illiterate about how CPUs and GPUs process information.

I have a Macbook Pro 15" 2019 i9, 16Ram with a Mantiz Pro Saturn II, Radeon 5700 XT, and a Samsung 860 evo SSD setup.

If anyone has similar setup or know the answer, it'll be greatly appreciated Smile

Macbook Pro 15" 2019 Intel i9, 16Ram with Mantiz Pro Saturn II, Radeon 5700 XT, Samsung 860 evo 1TB SSD, 34" LG Ultrawide.

@newtotheegpuworld, I've been using a SATA SSD inside the Mantiz Saturn Pro to store game libraries. It takes about 3Gbps from the total 22Gbps Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth but during gameplay there's not that much disk activity. Having the external SSD connected directly to the laptop would yield the most performance but the one cable convenience is better imo.

@itsage, thanks so much for the insight! Was looking at Baldur's Gate 3, and its 150gb space requirement, thinking the internal SSD would be most ideal Smile

just for the clarity, I thought the bandwidth for TB3 is up to 40gb?

@newtotheegpuworld, The Thunderbolt 3 data portion is only 22Gbps. Intel reserves the rest for other streams such as DisplayPort and daisy chaining.
