I was was about to pull the trigger and buy an Aorus gigabyte Nvidia 2070RTX eGPU until a friend just told me about rumours of the Nvidia RTX Super line coming out next month.

https://www.pcgamer.com/if-recent-leaks-are-accurate-nvidia-will-add-super-gpus-to-its-rtx-lineup-in-july/

The two things with this will be a price reduction in the current cards (& maybe box) and then the ability to get a super card in the AORUS box at some point.

When do they normally start to discount prices on existing cards?
How long does it take for these new cards to filter through to things like the Aorus gigabyte box?

I should note that I plan to use my card purely for 3D sculpting, rendering and so forth so unsure anyway how much waiting would make a difference to me.

Hope to hear!

Are they still selling them side by side or is it replacing the existing line? If side-by-side and the existing cards are planned for a price reduction then it would probably end up happening pretty much right away I would imagine. No idea though.

Interesting, thank you. I wasn't aware and looking into buying the 2070 box so may be worth waiting. I'm also not sure if its worth waiting for a Navi gaming box to come as I could use it with Mac + Windows.

Latest 'leak'. Apparently may announce 21st June. I doubt companies like Aorus will update their eGPU box that quick which is what I'm looking for, but maybe current variation will become cheaper
