Radeon VII - benchmark results not satisfying

Hi guys!

I recently updated from a VEGA 56 to a Radeon VII.

Of course I was running some benchmarks in macOS and Win 10 (who wouldn’t;)), but to be honest the results do not make me happy at all.

3dMark Timespy was only delivering 6500, at best. With some undervolting, only.

First I thought it was related to the Sonnet Breakaway 550 Box I was running it in, but a Razer Core X does also not show better results.

I will upload screens as proof once I am back on my MacBook, but maybe someone has an idea in the meanwhile.

Some guy here with a similar setup was showing high 7000‘s in Timespy 🙁

Edit: As promised, the benchmark results:

Now the more interesting part Smile

Here is my Time Spy result from a 2018 Macbook Pro i7:

And a slightly slower one from a Mini Desktop PC with Ryzen 3400G:

Your results are a little slower than the Macbook but right on for my PC (which admittedly scores 5-7 percent lower than the apple devices I've tested).

ok, then mine is in line with yours, more or less. But don´t you agree that´s a little low?

Performance-wise in games I cannot complain, for example Gears Tactics and Division 2 run pretty smooth and show figures not that far away from desktop computers. But benchmarks in general seem to be pretty weak 🙁
