I'm thinking of ordering a Radeon VII when it releases, does anyone know if Mojave have the kext drivers for it yet?
Currently facing wake-from-sleep issues with my Mantiz Venus + Vega 56, so hoping the Radeon VII will solve it and give a nice performance boost.

Razer Core X / Mantiz Venus
Asrock Radeon VII, Zotac Nvidia 1080Ti Amp Core Extreme, Powercolor Vega 56 reference (flashed to V64 bios)
@itsage confirmed by looking at device IDs that the driver is under development (macOS 10.14.4).

While the PCI ID of Radeon VII has made its way to the latest macOS 10.14.4 Beta build, the card does not work yet. Also interesting is the fact that it doesn't work in Windows 10 through a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure either. AMD has some work to do.

@itsage Thanks for the info! Would think given that Radeon VII seems to share the same GCN architecture as Vega, it'll be quite straightforward.
Do you mean it's not recognised as an XConnect compatible card in Win10? Or drivers fail to detect and load entirely?

@itsage do you see this device ID in one of the “controller” named kexts? What tool are you using to list the devices?
NVM, saw your other post where you mention it is in 10000Controller.

I will order one soon for me and reviewing for eGPU.it
Can't wait for macOS to support it correctly

well... I ordered one, bcuz I heard that there is / was short supply ... and there was ... so I got lucky, it was sold out in minutes with / on / at all german online stores ... so yeah it is still not confirmed when it will be shipped to me but at least I'll have one as soon as the driver will work in MacOS i'll test / compare it to Vega 64 and RX580 in FCPX (and maybe Resolve and Premiere Pro)
... to update this:
2018 Mac Mini Intel i7 / 32 GB Ram / Razer Core X + Radeon RX 5500 8GB ( RX 6800 16 GB) / Mac OS 11.5.2 / FCPX 10.5.4 / Capture One 21
From what I heard, AMD had a few ODMs produced roughly 20K units for this launch. It may be sold out today but there are more on the way. This is bad timing imo because it's during the Lunar New Year.

Are they any know if it has those power peaks over 300 Watt like the Vega64? Can normal enclosures wield it?
EDIT: wtf.. tests say GTX1080Ti is better in most games?!

I'm thinking of getting one! One silly question:
Would BootCamp Windows 10 with the new Adrenalin v19.2.1 driver work on the MacBook Pro for the time being?
PS I'm new to the eGPU world (and would like to start my first build with Radeon VII + Razer Core X)
Thanks...
