Just tried the new Beta. No change for me. Fans still start spinning at approx 70% after sleep has reached its final state.

No problems if I do a complete shutdown. Sleep is the only issue.

Just ordered the Radeon VII 50th Anniversary Edition card (difference is just a red fan shroud as far as I know) and will have two separate eGPU units to try it in.
A 2018 i9 MBP w/ Akitio Node and SF600 - currently with Vega 56 Strix and Dual 32" BenQ 4K monitors.
A 2018 Mini w/ Sonnet BB350 and SF600 - currently with Vega 64 LC and Dual 32" BenQ 4K monitors.

More to come once it arrives. Says 3-5 days shipping so hopefully by end of next week.

@mmomega Hopefully it has the same Device ID.

Do all Radeon VII vendors use the same Device ID?

I believe they do, I don't see why it wouldn't.
It is straight from AMD and not a third party so I am expecting the exact same experience as anyone else outside of having a red fan shroud.

I was on the fence about RadeonVII on release day... either way I believe AMD anniversary is making me reminisce about the 9800Pro /XT days.
I built my 9800XT system for Half-Life 2's release.
I really like the red cards at the time and I guess, still do.

The ASUS 9800XT that came in a briefcase was pimping "ASUS A9800XT RADEON 9800 XT 256MB Limited Edition" lol

Hope the red VII works out for you, I'm just sitting here with it in my cart watching the Canadian currency price fluctuate. I can justify it because of the AMD50 shirt right? Just sucks 1 year warranty vs. ASUS/AsRock 3 year.

50th anniversary is also offering two new games on all Radeon VIIs. The Division 2 Gold Edition with one year pass & World War Z.

Yes and those 2 games.
Most likely will give the code to my son to use.
I don't do much gaming at all anymore outside of WoW occasionally when my wife wants me to play.

and @garethrees the shirt it completely worth the price of admission
I didn't get the briefcase though. It was in my very first ever pre-built PC. I custom ordered an Alienware back when Alienware was their own company before Dell bought them out.
RAIDed Velociraptor 35GB drives, I forgot the Athlon XP chip that was in it. I think that system ran about $3,000. Unboxing that back then was cool because Alienware would run all kinds of tests on the computer and send you the results of what it was capable of, and they would color match the keyboard and mouse combo you ordered with it.
Pretty neat then..... but now I'm getting off topic a bit.

Pics of the Red 7 when she shows up though.

Anyone else upgraded to 10.14.5 public beta 2 and having issues running unigine benches in MacOS?  Both Heaven and Valley crash on start for me.

@Ningauble77, I was having the same problem in macOS 10.14.4. I just noticed a file named "file__0.localstorage" in my ~/Library/Application Support folder. Curious as to what it was, I dropped it onto TextEdit and noticed several occurences of the words "Heaven" and "Valley" near the beginning.

After moving "~/Library/Application Support/file__0.localstorage" to the trash, I can now run Heaven and Valley! (The Unigine apps recreate file__0.localstorage, but without whatever problem was causing them to crash on launch.)

Thanks a ton, after deleting file__0.localstorage I can run heaven and valley again.  Will add the benches to my build guide when I have a chance.
