Radeon VII compatible with Mac?
5700 XT on macOS dropped 25% in Geekbench without updating the app. The VII is being crippled so that it performs worse than slower GPUS. And then the Pro Vega II with the same chip is performing disproportionately much faster. One could easily suspect that Geekbench is manipulating the scores deliberately because they know they are a popular benchmark and can influence hardware purchases.
so doggy, I guess Shadows of the Tomb Raider is a better benchmark tool in this case lolz
Every Mac user really needs to ignore Geekbench's suspicious possibly manipulated scores. They have been randomly shifting scores around for months. We should rely on every other benchmark except for Geekbench. Rob Art has tested the Radeon VII against the Pro Vega Series II. His result will be on Barefeats soon. Here is his preview...
This makes much more sense now. They are the same chip but the VII has a higher boost clock (correct me if I forgot).
Where can you buy the HL23T-PRO Thunderbolt™3 eGFX Enclosure in the US? I went to dynapowerusa.com, who Netstor says is their US retailer. Well dynapower then says I need to shop on one of 12 websites. Searching all 12 partner sites, the HL23T is nowhere to be found. 🙁
Bringing the thread back from the dead 😄
