Hi
I have this amazing Monitor https://cforcedesign.com/products/cf015c-4k-ultra-slim-portable-display
It used to work in Mojave then Apple did something to block it. I'm thinking that I need to do similar steps as TB3 Enabler to edit the kext to get it working. I tried TB3 enabler too just in case but it didn't help.
My setup is Mbp 2015, TB2 > TB2 to TB3 cable > CalDigit TS3 > USB C Monitor.
The monitor is powered and data is over the one USB C cable, it works no problems this setup in other OS just on newer Mac OS I get issues.
I hope that I am okay in this forum and forgive me for not having an e-GPU but Hackintosh forum wasn't sure how to fix and neither has others so here is my next best bet.
If I plug it into newer OS X like Mojave or Big Sur the monitor flashes black and then grey static and it does show as connected in system preferences so it does get recognised and the laptop display goes black for a second when connecting as it should alas only a static grey output.
MBP 2015 i5
@club_dog, My guess is Apple had changed DP over Thunderbolt between macOS system updates. Which brand of the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt adapter are you using?
