I am only getting half the frame rate in most of the games if compared to the benchmark tests on the internet. For example only 30~ fps compared to 55~ fps in RDR2, <30 fps in Total War Three Kingdoms, barely >30 fps compared to 70~fps in Witchers 3. Why is that happening? I am using Mantiz Venus, Windows To Go (installed in SSD in the chasis), RMBP 2017 i7 7820 HQ, 16GB RAM. And it's much worse than RTX2060 in Witcher 3 and TWTK. It's frastrating.

MacBook Pro 15 inch 2017 RX560
Mantiz Venus
AMD Radeon 5700XT
macOS 10.15.1
Windows To Go 1809
Sandisk Ultra SSD 480GB

Make sure you tell your programs to use the external. Go in to graphic settings and you can specify that GPU for things to use via high and low performance. Make sure you set it to use the app and not a shortcut or the app won’t use the gpu

I am experiencing the same with RX 580

~30fps on 1080p DF optimal setting, sub 25fps in towns.

I was seeing issues with my 2018 15" MBP w/RP560x connected to the Mantiz Venus (MZ-02) and AMD 5700 XT. This was my setup:

  • Mantiz Venus MZ-02 Stock
  • Installed Samsung EVO 850 1TB SSD for Game Data inside Mantiz via provided SATA III port
  • I installed Windows 10 Pro, May Edition (V1) to avoid getting the Error 12 issue.
  • My only gaming test was for Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019)

I was trying to use the internal display to simulate going to friend's houses/LANs. I was seeing Mid-to-High 70's during the game but it still felt glitchy.

How did this turn out for you guys? I have a Mantiz Venus MZ-02 with a 2018 MB Pro 2.6GHz i7 and was hoping I could play COD:MW at 1440p with solid performance. Thoughts?
