I'm running a setup consisting of a Lee N500 PSU, Geforce GTX 1070 Armor 8G OC Graphics with a Akitode thunderbolt 2. Whenever I try to start the computer, flipping the graphics card on after the windows logo it runs but doesn't show up in my device manager. Also doesn't come up anywhere on my computer or external monitor.

Any suggestions?

@mini-i5, Version 1909

OS build-  18363.418

@, Also when I try to install the Nivida drivers it gives me an error saying, "this Nivida graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

Windows 1909 is currently a headache when setting up an eGPU. I don’t recommend it.

You might want to wait until the Windows spring update next month.

Or try an earlier version: v1903 build 18362.295

Or try v1809 which is the easiest version to set up.

@mini-i5, dang that sucks, would I need to reinstall bootcamp then, with a windows version v1809? or can I downgrade straight from 1909

That I don’t know. I installed v1809 In November 2018 and it has worked perfectly ever since.
