I have some PC components that I would like to repurpose them for an eGPU setup and connect it to my 2015 Macbook Pro via the Thunderbolt 2 port.

The components I have:
- An intel CPU
- 4 x Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti
- Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 motherboard
- 2 x PSUs

This is new territory for me so I am not really sure where should I start. What do I need to put build the eGPU setup?

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Can't use the cpu or mobo, what's the rating on psu's? I'm guessing enough to power the gpu's so the only thing you are missing is a TB2 or TB3 board. You should be able to pick up a used/new thunder2 for this.

There is a guide section as well, so you can narrow it down by your laptop and gpu to see what other components people have tried.
