Is a 3090 eGPU viable? I'd say so!

@bmagnien, nice! My 3080 hits 8060 on GFX in the test, so I'd say yes, the 3-series is very viable, especially once they fix the drivers, should see even more performance.
@bmagnien - very stupid question here, but, were you using the card in an epgu enclosure? if so, can you say:
- what model enclosure you were using?
- which version of the 3090 you were using (Nvidia FE or one from Zotac, Gigabyte, MSI, etc)?
I've got a Razer Core X and I've been wondering if it'll fit, and work, or not.
@dlpasco, not a dumb question at all, I would’ve been more detailed but I’m preparing to publish the build with full details and results in the next couple days. It’s a evga rtx 3090 FTW3 ultra in a Mantiz Saturn pro 2 case. I went with Mantiz because of the 3 dedicated 8 pins and the 750w cpu. I believe the razer core only has 2 dedicated 8 pins, a 650w psu. Remember 100w of that will go to laptop power delivery, but you should still be good for most 3090/3080, just make sure you pick a model that only needs two 8 pins, and has a 2 slot io bracket, even though the card itself can be up to 3 slot in width for your case. And then check on the razer website for max internal gpu size to finish off height and length checks. I know many 3080s and 90s will fit your case.
Holy crap, has anyone tried undervolting their card? I've got a stable card at 1950mhz undervolted to 0.9mv (down from 1.1), it's running 10C cooler and saving roughly 100watts for the same performance.
