Hi, I am kind of confused on power supply with eGPUs. For example the graphics card ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mini does no require any extra power. Would this still be the same for the external dock and would that need power? If so how much considering the graphics card already doesn't need any extra power?

Sorry if this is said any where else and I missed it.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@max122tom, if the external dock is a real Thunderbolt eGPU then it should be able to provide enough power through the PCIe slot with whatever power supply the eGPU comes with.

If the external dock is some kind of M.2 or mPCIe to PCIe slot adapter like a r4x, then I would not use it with the GPU (but the RS43G which is made for GPUs may be ok?).
