Hello!

I use a Macbook Air with MacOS for my gaming (World of Warcraft) and i have been given a 1440p monitor.  Now my Razer Core X and RX580 4GB were fine at 1080p but it's struggling at 1440p.  I have read on here that the RX580 is the sweet spot for the Air but i'm wondering if i change to an RX5700 will there be any difficulties?

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

@obiit There are no drivers in macOS for the RX 5700/XT atm. A used RX Vega 56 may be a better deal with good drivers in macOS.

It's the compatability of a more powerful graphics card with what is a low powered laptop i'm thinking about.  I'm hoping Catalina will sort the drivers out, i just don't want to cough up for a card that will actually reduce performance rather than increase it.

Either way i will have to wait so i am just thinking ahead and looking for peoples experiances and thoughts 🙂

@obiit I suggest you to wait the Catalina release and the incoming Apple event about new MacBook Pro... (October) if they will say something about Navi then I suggest you to check the 5700, if they will say nothing about Navi then go to Vega56...
