I’m working on 3D project on C4D and want to use Octane which uses NVIDIA GPU.

Considering the issues with macOS and NVIDIA.
I’m considering an eGPU with nvidia RTX card using bootcamp and Windows 10.

But on the other hand, like others here, I’m not a huge fan of windows.
And I’ve seen there’s a possibility to install a GTX 1080ti
Running macOS 10.13.6 without bootcamp and windows indeed.
With recent Nvidia and CUDA drivers.

Could you guys help me on this issue regarding my config below ?
And tell me which is the best option in my case and performance ?

THANK YOU ALL

macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G8037)
MacBook Pro 15 - 2017
2,9 GHz i7
16Go
Radeon Pro 560

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@jg_rohou

It was done in the past with a lot of effort.

It would be cool if people are still running this setup. 👨🏼‍💻
