Hi,

I'm having so much lag at fortnite, it's like spikes, fps are good so I don't know what it is.
Usually, I would have spiked because of the HDD external, but now I'm into the main SSD inside MacBook Pro touch bar 2016.

The deal is I tried other games and there performance decreased a little too.

I already tried with eFit or without efit and it's the same.
Someone has the same problem with spikes at games? I think I'm not giving enough power to the macbook it's so strange.

I have initial lag in Fortnite sometimes, usually after an update or I I change resolution settings. Maybe it is the game who needs to render or scale things. After 1-2 rounds, the game runs much more better for me.

I had some decreased in fortnite and some others games but in fortnite it's too much!
I donn't know what to do.
I though it was overheating it isn't.

I think it's only lag of egpu, considering selling it I can't play like that.

Fortnite at least in 10.13.4 works much more better in “full screen window” than “full screen”

Fortnite now runs much more better, spikes are gone. Don’t know if the merit goes to macOS 10.13.5 beta or Fortnite new patch.

If you notice lag antway, maybe the boost is given by macOS 10.13.5

At least on my setup with Venus and Vega 64 the game runs better with “window full screen”  than classic full screen

Yeah everything is great now, the problem was fortnite but it was really really laggy.
Sometimes I get lag when I have new updates but it gets good after 5min

Fortnite performance on OS X is really bad. If you play the game a lot, consider installing Bootcamp. You can download Windows 10 for free from M$ and don't have to buy a license. It will nag you a little bit and display a little watermark in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, but that's it.

Sorry to drag this back up but has anyone figured out any tricks?

I am just amazed that a Mac Pro with 6 cores and a GTX1070 cannot run this game on MacOS at 2K with a solid 30FPS at Mid settings when compared to bootcamp - a i7 Mac mini with 1070 attached can do 60FPS High settings at 4k!!!! I just don't get it!

It's just the game isn't fully optimized for macOS yet.

You must ensure that your Fortnite apk lag is not due to your lackluster PC performance.
