No RX 570

Tested my RX570 on 10.3 dev beta 2 + MacBook Pro 13.3 2017 and works fine.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Anyone have any luck playing Blizzard games or Steam games in High Sierra using external GPUs?

No problems on the mid-2015 Iris Pro MBP 15" + Node + RX 480. Played XCOM 2 a lot (via Steam) on this config.

Hi everyone,

I'm also very interested in any news on MBPs with dGPUs 650M and 750M (for example Early 2013 to Mid2014) and High Sierra...

Thanks!

Mid-14 w/ 750M does not work either on Beta 2. eGPU detected fine, but output to external display is just glitches.

Thank you for your info. Please post your result once the new beta make it work. I was thinking about to sell my MBP15 if it doesn't work for the egpu.

There were too many incompatibilities with High Sierra and other apps so I just went back to Sierra. I'm gonna miss hot plugging for the next couple of months 🙁

Your problem is very likely the VBIOS. My Sapphire reference RX 480 8GB  + Mid 2015 MBP M370X works via direct TB2 and TB2-to-TB3 adapter on High Sierra (first beta), and DP-DP connection.

This might probably be the case for my GPU as well, albeit an MSI Armor RX 480 4GB@FricoRico's suggestion might actually work. I believe this is a single 8-pin card, however the VRAM is different.

You could also try to flash your GPU with a Sapphire bios to see if it works. I believe RX480 has duel bios, and you should be fine even the flashed bios is failed.

I'm curious, if I order the Apple dev kit and use it with my mini (I have both a 2012 and 2014) and use a tb3 to tb2 adapter, will I get a boot screen since it's an official kit?

No boot screen. It's not a big deal really.

Hi, guys.

Can anyone confirm that either Apple's EGPU dev kit - or Akitio's Node enclosure - works with late 2012 iMacs with TB 1, while using the beta of High Sierra?

Thank you so much in advance.
