Iris Pro 5200 is not showing on Windows 10/also Ubuntu with apple_set_os.efi activated. Can somebody confirm it? 10.12.4 has a new firmware which is MBP112_0138_B25 (for me) which might somehow disable Iris Pro in non apple OS. Can't downgrade firmware also.

UPDATE: Same result (no Iris Pro) when spoofed via refind "spoof_osx_version 10.12" or "spoof_osx_version 10.12.4"

With both apple_set_os.efi and gpu-switch integrated activated dxdiag shows Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and 750m. Iris Pro drivers can't be installed too.

This issue was flagged as an important one. I sought the advice of my macOS colleagues theitssage and Goalque finding:

no apple_set_os.efi functionality is bad news particularly for 2013+ 15" dGPU MBPs

Without apple_set_os.efi, those systems will not be able to ativate the  iGPU in Windows. That means then cannot get AMD X-Connect or NVidia Optimus accelerated internal LCD mode.  There would need an external LCD to use the eGPU in Windows OR use the fake LCD method.

@Goalque's confirms the latest 2016 13" MBP is affected
Confirmed. They have blocked apple_set_os.efi functionality also in MBP13,1 (non-touch), with the latest developer beta firmware MBP131.0205.B15.

I think the previous version was workable (MBP131.0205.B11). The B15 results in black screen, when booting into Windows and macOS shows the familiar progress bar with an AMD card.

Which systems are affected?

@Goalque advises:
My guess is that this "fix" applies to all Thunderbolt Macs.

@enjoy: Are you using apple_set_os.efi at the moment? This firmware update comes with the sixth/seventh beta of macOS 10.12.4 and your iGPU only MBP is very likely affected.

Nope i used WinClone to make my Windows - EFI to force Optimus:

Right click of BOOTCAMP partition in WinClone - and click "Make EFI Bootable"

Do you know that will help me or i must skip the update?

"Make EFI Bootable" only converted your old BIOS (MBR) installation to UEFI.

The reason why your internal screen works is due to EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 + single-slot Thunder3 combination. With a multi-slot enclosure/different eGPU, the result can be black screen, and apple_set_os.efi is then necessary.

As your internal screen works already without apple_set_os.efi, it might work after macOS 10.12.4 upgrade as well.

I will compile a new apple_set_os.efi that works with the old and new firmware. Apple hasn’t purposely blocked this, version number was just updated.
