Big Sur benchmarks
Good news. Big Sur Beta 10 has very improved graphics performance. It's back to where it should be, but now the 5700 XT gets 61,000 in Geekbench even when connected to a 4K display. GFXBench Metal offscreen test is back up to 190fps.
Overall everything from graphics to video performance is noticeably snappier. Just a couple of tweaks here and there and you will all be very happy. Please keep reporting bugs and performance issues to Apple as some of you have exotic configurations (displays, cables, graphics card models, etc) that that they may be unaware of.
Much better 5700 XT drivers now.
Up to 67000 in Geekbench Metal, highest we've seen so far in Big Sur.
Unigene Valley 3557 points. It was around 2900 points in previous betas.
I'm glad it's moving in the right direction. I'm hoping for more stable drivers. I keep getting crashes now and again.
How is the stability of the latest beta? I'm not even sure which beta version is out for the public now. 8th? 9th? I'm assuming we'll see a release version at the November event. But I'm still curious to see where the performance and stability is at at this point.
@craftsman, What about bootcamp performance . Is it working without error 12?
