Hello,

I would like to know for sure if my iMac is able to extend to another screen through an eGPU. My iMac specs are as follows:

- iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) running macOS Catalina 10.15.3

- Contains NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1 GB

External GPU specs

- Enclosure: Akitio Node

- GPU: AMD Radeon RX580 8GB

- Connector: Thunderbolt 1/2 to Thunderbolt 3 wire & adapter

What I've tried: purge-wrangler 6.2.3 & 6.2.0. Everything works (identifies eGPU & 2nd monitor) except that the screen on the 2nd monitor is black. I've tried hot-plugging it in login, out of login, on bootup.

I came across complications:

None NVIDIA AMD macOS Drivers Only internal monitor can be used. Apps can be accelerated using set-eGPU.sh.

and I'd like to make sure that there is absolutely no way I can plug in a second monitor through an eGPU. Please advise me, good community.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
