Hello everyone,

I'm facing a minor but annoying problem: I'm using a 25" external monitor that is connected both directly to my mbp via dp and trough my egpu via hdmi. Whenever I turn my egpu on and switch to the hdmi input I can't disable the other output therefore my macbook thinks it's connected to 2 different displays. I tried disabling one of the outputs w/ switchresx however that disables them both and the computer goes bezerk. Rn, my only options are to either select mirroring which makes everything laggy or pull the dp cable out which is kinda fiddly. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running a 2014 13" mbp in clamshell mode in a vertical henge dock w/ akitio thunder2 rx460 and 10.3.6.

Thank you for posting - I have almost exactly the same setup and problem: Macbook Pro in a Hengedock in Clamshell mode, where both the Macbook itself as well as the TB-connected eGPU are connected to the same monitor. I also could not figure out how to switch to "eGPU only", when the eGPU box is powered on...
