Frame drops every 3 or 4 seconds. Incredibly annoying. I can't work like this.

Node Titan and RX5700 purchased as a bundle from OWC.

Zero issues in Bootcamp. Zero issues with a 1440p monitor at 144hz. Zero issues with either monitor and a Gigabyte RX580 eGPU. Ruled out all cables, ports.

It's clearly something between Catalina and the RX5700 XT.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a workaround? Or any suggestions of things to try.

This is supposed to be my mission critical work rig!

I love this community and resource.  Thanks for any ideas you might have!

Shut down, and disconnect the Node Titan TB3 cable from your MBP.

Connect the Dell display directly to your MBP.

Start up and sign in to the Catalina desktop.

Hot plug the Node Titan TB3 cable into your MBP, and let Catalina recognize the Node Titan + RX 5700 XT.

Shut down. Disconnect the Dell display from your MBP, and connect it to the Node Titan / RX 5700 XT.

Startup and sign in.

Tried those steps.  It didn't work 🙁

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Is your Dell screen resolution set to 4K or 1440p?

HDMI cable or DP cable to the Display?

DP.  Tried all of the resolutions.  Might have to wipe and do me a total clean install of Catalina next.  First, I'll test it on my wife's 2019 13 inch and see if the same problem persists.

Same issue with my wife's MBP running 10.15.5.

Baaahhhhh.  Wonder if it's the card that OWC ships with the Node.

What a pain. I would return it.

In the past, a bug in Mac OS involving HDCP has caused the same screen flickering, but only when HDMI cables are used.

FIXED.

I'm an idiot.   It was the monitor firmware.  I had to update it in Windows.  And Dell hides the firmware updater with their calibration utility download.

I even went to Microcenter and picked up a different 5700xt to test out.

ALL BETTER.  Thanks for being a shoulder to cry on in times of need.
