I'm on 10.13.5 and whenever my mbp sleeps, any hd or external hd that is connected to my mbp get disconnected.
However when I wake up the mbp. There's no problem with the egpu nor the monitors connected to the egpu.
Just all the external hd connected the egpu. I didn't have this problem before.
I just have this problem when I did a super duper recovery of a backup hd.
There's no problem with the os at all.
Not sure what's the caused...
Any solution?

it looks like the MacOS even it set to sleep, but still wake up in the background to have mail sync, icloud sync...etc.

Which I had the power nap feature turned on. It was fine before.
Yet once woken up all the external hd shows connected but with a lot of popup notice of improper disconnect of hd.
I can't seem to find what's wrong since I never change any setup at all.

It always happened for me, now I don’t let my Mac sleep when it is plugged to power.
