Hi, so I'm pretty new to the eGPU game. I'm currently using a MacBook Pro 2017, 13in, 2 ports. I'm also on High Sierra 10.13.4.
I recently bought an Aorus Gaming Box with a GTX 960 in it. I installed fr34k's script onto my MacBook.
As the title says, my eGPU isn't showing up on the "About This Mac" section. It does show up in the System Information though. I've tried connecting an external display to my MBP, but it still uses the integrated GPU. I also connected it to the eGPU itself but nothing shows up. I don't know if this matters, but I'm connecting to my external display via DVI.
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.Use a dummy plug or external monitor. Or install Windows and there are guides on YouTube to accelerate the internal display

I did use an external monitor, but nothing happened

.According to my information internal screen acceleration with nVidia GPUs is not supported. And if you connect the external display to the Mac instead the eGPU, it is still internal screen acceleration. Try to connect the external display to the eGPU and restart the Mac, it should work then.

HI,
I have a similar problem. My egpu is connected and i'm connected to external display though the egpu. Still about this mac is not using the new nvidia 1060 graphics card. Under displays, it also still shows both the intel Iris internl gpu being used.
1. yes external monitor is set to main monitor
2. Yes script ran fine and I have Nvidia icon in my nav bar.
In the system profiler "External GPU" I can see both cards listed. The egpu is lised with PCIE bus.
However the mac is still not using the Egpu.
Any thoughts? Please if anyone can help with this.
Thank you
D
