Gotcha, thats one thing I haven't tried because I was hoping to keep everything USB C/TB3.

There is no output for USB C on the Akitio Node, but I can try a Displayport option out of the video card.

Update: It works! Unfortunately on Display Port only, not USB C. Which is a shame because my PC was using display port input

On the just released HS 10.3.4 I've notice that, although hot-plug works better that previous betas, when I open FCPX after hot-plug my eGPU I have some sort of display artefacts and often FCPX crash at open but after a log-out & a log-in to the system everything came to normal. So I think they have to work a little bit better on that side.

Since I have 3 GPUs (integrated, Pro RD 460, and the eGPU RX480) would it best to run one monitor on per GPU for best results?

USB C from Pro 460 first monitor
DisplayPort from eGPU for the second monitor.

Or is the OS able to merge the processing power of all of them?

I would connect everything  to the eGPU. OpenCL and Metal performance can be comulative of all GPUs

MacBook Pro 2018 Touch Bar i7 quad-core 2.7Ghz - 16GB RAM - 512GB PCIe SSD
my awesome Radeon VII eGPU
my Mantiz Venus extreme mod with Sapphire Nitro+ RX Vega 64

2018 13" MacBook Pro [8th,4C,U] + Radeon VII @ 32Gbps-TB3 (Mantiz Venus) + macOS 10.15 [build link]

Anyone knows something for the Aorus Gaming Box 1070? Have tried some of the forum solutions and I am on 10.13.14, but to no avail does it get detected.

After about 3 months I can say either my eGPU RX480 isn't doing anything or my software isn't taking advantage of it.

Some notes
Photoshop CC runs the same, actually think it runs better on on the onboard RX460 on the MBPro Touch Bar.
Capture One runs the same (OpenCL enabled)
The RX480 fan doesn't turn on after start up. Not sure if its temperature controlled?

Any thoughts? When I benchmarked it on Geekbench, performance on the RX480 was 4x the RX460. Just not seeing any performance improvements anywhere.

Does Final Cut Pro utilize eGPUs better?

Hi ,
I have a Macbook Air early 2014 (Thunderbolt 10Gpbs). I5 processor. I would like to add an external GPU. Can we do similarly to a PC when we have an extension module PCI to add an Nvidia card.. If so any recommendations fro the hardware required to add a Nvidia 1050-170 or higher.
Thanks for any advice

Pro WX 5100 should be Ellesmere, not Baffin. At least it's saying on this site: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-pro-wx-5100.c2873

2018 15" MBP & 2015 13" MBP connected to RTX2080Ti GTX1080Ti GTX1080 Vega56 RX580 R9-290 GTX680
