I currently have the old Razer core with the TI-82 architecture, which from what I've seen online will not work on High Sierra (Unless I am wrong). My question is, I can currently use my eGPU running on an old version of Mac, so should I stick with how it currently is and wait for a potential fix for High Sierra, or are the performance benefits of High Sierra worth updating my OS now and not having an eGPU for a long time while I sort out buying a TI-83 compatible enclosure in the future.

Advice appreciated!

If your have an Nvidia eGPU setup then stay with the Mac OS version you're at. There's some benefits with High Sierra if you have a Radeon RX card. Here's the information on enabling TI82 USB-C controller in 10.13.

I think there is a patch to get ti 82 chips working on the latest os. But to be honest macOS hasn’t moved forward much for an end user so I’d stick to what your running.

Do you know where that thread is? So website so I can keep an eye on it? I've looked everywhere for anything regarding TI-82 on high sierra and found zilch.

Thanks! Thats really helpful! Just from a quick read through that thread, it doesn't look like that hex edit will work for the razer core 🙁

Apparently 10.13.4 messed up with the Razer Core v1, I have a MacBook Pro late 2016 with Touch Bar and a Razor Core V1, I tried the tb3 scrip with no results and the iHex edit with no results. Any idea? My Core still unsupported in my system report 🙁

Where does it say it wont work with the V1 core?

Thats the exact thread I was going to link ya to....

I saw alot of people say they had no luck, maybe I read it wrong? I have to download a specific version of High Sierra I guess.

Can you get it to work using boot camp and Win10?
