My setup is a Gigabyte Gaming Box Radeon 580, connected via TB3 -> TB2 apple dongle to a MacBook Pro 15" Late 2013. After doing the automate-eGPU install, I am unable to successfully get past the login screen. This login hangs regardless of the enclosure being connected or having booted from the EFI boot stick.  So after I put in my credentials, the progress bar gets to almost complete then stops.

I can boot into safe mode successfully with no issue.

What step am I missing in getting this setup to work? Or should I be using Purge Wrangler?

Did you try searching the eGPU.io build guides forum for examples of MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) with AMD eGPU?
