Just a quick question.  Are we still stuck at driver version 372.70? Or is it safe to update now?

As far as I know, it's always been safe to update if you're using Thunderbolt. Only with mPCIe, m.2 and some ExpressCard setups are there problems with newer drivers.

I'm still not able to find any info on this.

Has anyone updated past 372.70 with success??

I guess it depends on your setup. I'm on a Late 2013 retina MBP 13" using a 1060 in a Akitio Node enclosure and have upgraded to 378.05.05.05f2 and things are fine so far

You can update your drivers, no problems with eGPU with Thunderbolt 1, 2 or 3, the problem is only for mPCIe, m.2 and some ExpressCard setups!
