Hello everyone. I have a Mac Pro late 2013 working with High Sierra OS 10.13.6. I also have an external eGPU - Razer Core X. Everything was working just fine till now. Suddenly when I connect the egpu, the mac freezes and I cannot do anything until I disconnect the thunderbolt cable. I have already updated cuda version but nothing... Any clue? Thank you all so much in advance.

Happy new year for everyone.

Kind Regards

Did you try using a new cable?

@rmarques Which solution did you use to enable eGPU on your 2013 Mac Pro?

I did, and nothing happened. The egpu starts working when i plug the thunderbolt cable, the Razer Core X rainbow lights turn on on and then fade away, but the graphic card fans still spinning. Nothing happens. it says no gpu detected.

Thank you

I cannot remember. Was done by a friend. But was something done in terminal and then the thunderbolt ports were updated because they were not recognising the enclosure. Everything was working very well till this day. i don't know but maybe something related to mac pro firmware update?

Thank you
