Hi guys.  I have a 2018 MBP which takes multiple attempts for it to recognize the eGPU. When it finally does work, everything it great. However, it takes some combination of rebooting, unplugging everything from the eGPU, flipping the power switch with everything disconnected, removing power from the monitor, etc, etc...  even then, it doesn’t always work.

Because (reasons), I replaced the power supply with a Corsair 600w PSU. Massive overkill, I know.  I’m wondering if that might be the reason why I’m having issues.  When I connect the TB cable, I can hear the PSU *click*, and sometimes the GPU will then spin up, the laptop starts charging, etc...  it’s all good.  Most of the time, it takes many attempts.

I can replace the original PSU, but am feeling pretty lazy today, and wanted to see if anyone else had experienced something similar.

Any ideas?
