I have the following:
- XFX RX 580
- Razer Core X
- Macbook Pro with touchbar running 10.14.2

When I plug the core into my mac it crashes and gives me an error. I've read about XFX cards being problematic with macs. Is it possible to get it working or would it be easier to return it and get another card? If so what card should I get?

Thanks and happy holidays.

What’s the model number of the XFX RX 580 you bought? I recently got an XFX RX 590 Fatboy and experienced the same crashing behavior in macOS 10.14.2. It’s best to return and get a different RX 580.

What do you recommend for another RX 580? What's the most compatible GPU for mac?

You can check through our build guides for working RX 580 in macOS. The quick answer is any brand but XFX.

My previous STRIX worked perfectly before being replaced by a Strix Vega 64.

Also with an MBP with TB

Best regards

MBP 2018, Touch Bar, i7 2.6 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1T SSD, Radeon 560X... very nice!
eGPU : Akitio Node + RX 580 + GTX 980 Ti + Vega64
