Hello,

Running on a MacMini 2010 on MacOS High Sierra with an integrated Nvidia 320M GPU (no discrete / no Intel GPU).

Is this setup compatible with an eGPU? AMD? Nvidia?

I tried to execute purge-wrangler 6.2.2. Running "1. Setup eGPU" yields to the following message:

"System has previously been modified. Uninstall first."

I actually never ran/installed purge-wrangler before.

I did perform action "3. Uninstall" from purge-wrangler and on reboot could not complete MacOS boot (stuck 100%).

Re-installing MacOS did the trick (no data loss). However, I am still puzzled whether or not my setup can host an eGPU (AMD Radeon RX 580 with TB1/TB2 adapter to TB3 + TB3 cable).

Any help / return on experience is welcome. Thanks in advance.

@matsuo The 2010 Mac mini does not have Thunderbolt and therefore will not work.

OMG I am so embarrassed... thanks for enlightening me. Indeed Mac mini 2010 does not sports Thunderbolt, only Mac mini 2011 and later does.

I was confused with the Mini-DisplayPort of my Mac mini looking the same as Thunderbolt. See https://fr.transcend-info.com/Support/FAQ-921 .
