macOS 10.13.4 full installer / trick to allow 10.13.0 installation
Does anyone here still has the DMG / full installer for 10.13.4 stored somewhere, or know of a reliable download source?
I'm trying to install 10.13.4 onto an external SSD, in order to run a 1080Ti in a Sonnet 550 box (since who knows, how long it'll still take, before nVidia releases a web driver for Mojave)... Problem is though, I already have Mojave on my internal drive, and I can't install 10.13.0 - probably my macbook is too new for that (2016 MBP 15" touch bar, but bought about a year ago, so must have been with newer version of High Sierra)? At apple's site, there's only full installers for 10.13.0 (and Combo updates for 13.4 of course, which don't help me though, since I can't install 10.13.0 to begin with).
Or, in case anyone knows, how to avoid this message regarding the version being too old (edit some plist or whatever), that'd be greatly appreciated as well!
Thanks @mac_editor, tried that; but when executing the installinstallmacos.py script, there's only 10.13.6 or Mojave to choose from... I suppose Apple doesn't have anything else in their repositories. And from what I understood, 10.13.6 doesn't work very well for eGPUs in general and Nvidia in particular... This is why I previously downloaded 10.13.0, as well as the 10.13.4 combo update - since 10.13.4 is the latest High Sierra version, where it's supposed to work well. I already created a 10.13.0 installer stick, the 2016 MBP doesn't wanna boot from this though :-/
I think, it's probably possible to unlock earlier OS-versions like 10.13.0, if only I knew where...
@michelangelo 10.13.6 and 10.13.4 have the same exact NVIDIA eGPU status. Biggest differences within High Sierra is 10.13.3 (kext workaround) vs. 10.13.4-6 (script/EFI).
