macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 beta and Radeon RX Vega: round 3!!!!
All fingers crossed for fan speed issue! With 10.13.3 I have still distorted audio over DisplayPort.
Yes I know 10.13.4 it isn't out yet!
update: read below, this is the release we are all waiting for
Public beta isn't out yet
Clamshell mode for Macbook Pro!!!
Hot Plug and Play without logout!!!
New menu to eject eGPU:
AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 fan issue fixed!!!
The system now recognize the right name of the AMD Radeon RX Vega 64.. no more prototype! 😉
Apple is nice for once. This feels like Christmas! 😀
Totally ... I'm really enjoying my setup now!!
Good news with the fan speed.
So I have to pay $99/year to be able to download the beta macOS, right?
I would suggest you wait for the free public beta that might be out real soon.
Also I noticed that now the screen of the Macbook Pro 15" is handled by the Radeon Pro 460 and not by the Vega 64 like before. With the new approach the eGPU is fully dedicated for the screens connected to it.
This make more sense, it save Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth.
I guess now the applications shown on the external screens will run on the eGPU and the applications shown on the screen of the Macbook Pro 15" will run on the internal Radeon Pro (To be confirmed)
Do you mean with the new 10.13.4 beta that was released today? The fan issue was not fixed for me in the 10.13.3 released yesterday.
