Mantiz EGPU - Ethernet disconnects on sleep

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6 connected to the original Mantiz EGPU and I leave the Wi-Fi off to force using the ethernet connection from the EGPU. But after my computer goes to sleep and I wake it up It always comes back disconnected from ethernet and the only way to make it connect again is to reboot the computer. On the Network preferences the status says: Cable Unplugged. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this ?

Also, I though the Mantiz had a gigabit ethernet, but it seems to be connecting at 100mb to my gigabit TimeCapsule. My Linux box connects normally @ 1Gbs to this router. I tried played around with the manual settings but It won't connect at the higher speed.

BTW: I'm using the Ethernet driver I found on Mantiz's website.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
