MBP cant find eGPU
Hey guys I'm trying to get my 1080ti working on my 2016 rMBP 15" with radeon 450. I'm using the akitio node and was updated the drivers to fix the half bandwith issue but when I try to install NVidia drivers, it says I don't have the hardware. I don't think my computer recognizes my 1080ti. Ive been following this guide https://egpu.io/forums/builds/2016-15-macbook-pro-rp460-gtx1080ti32gbps-tb3-akitio-node-macos-windows-10/ and am at the step to install the drivers.
When trying to run the gpu-switch.bat I run integrated.bat to switch to the integrated gpu but I get 'gpu-switch.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Sounds like Thunderbolt driver issue. Is your Akitio Node recognized by Akitio firmware update program? If not, try to update your Windows 10 Thunderbolt 3 driver with Intel driver (188.8.131.525). If firmware update program recognizes Akitio and you already have Intel Thunderbolt driver, update your Akitio Node to latest firmware.
Also try both left (PCI x8) and right (PCI x4) MBP TB ports.
I had the same problem and I was able to get the.bat to work when I downloaded from the link further down the page on https://github.com/0xbb/gpu-switch
Scroll all the way down to the "Windows 8/10 Usage:" line and click the download link on the second bullet. Using the .bat files inside there seemed to work correctly on my windows side.
