My system:
* Akitio Node Pro
* MacOS: 10.13.6
* MacBook Pro: Retina, 15-inch, 2015
* GPU: ZOTAC GTX 1080ti
* Thunderbolt3 to Thunderbolt2 Adapter (not Apple)
* Thunderbolt2 Cable (not Apple)

After setup by following this guide: Make your Mac compatible with NVIDIA and AMD eGPUs. (macOS High Sierra), my System Information still shows "no device connected" for the 2 thunderbolt ports. Now I am wondering if it is related to my T3->T2 adapter or T2 cable.

Can you shed some lights on it? Many thanks!

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Problem was solved after I switched to Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and Apple Thunderbolt cable.
