Can anyone also test whether El Capitan is supported? Or do we have to upgrade to Sierra?

Nope, it does not support El Capitan. Nvidia has a typo on their web page:

New in Release 378.05.05.05f01:

  • Graphics driver updated for Mac OS X El Capitan 10.12.4 (16E195)

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/117854/en-us

macOS 10.12.4 is required.

Probably is requiring 10.12.4 because metal has been finalized. Most games and software will require 10.12.4 like Deus Ex, F1 2016, Obduction.

Man, how the heck are you getting speeds like that?

This is the best my system can muster, and the only difference is that mine is over TB3. The cards are the same, and I get great speeds in Windows…

…Is acceleration not working over TB3 in macOS yet?

Something is wrong with your installation. Are you running it in your MAIN display?

it is not using your GTX

Yeah, performance sure makes it look like it's running the crappy Iris chip, but Valley shows both for some reason. (Wouldn't macOS and/or the benchmark automatically pick the most powerful chip, or do I have to somehow tell them which one to use?)

And no I wasn't using the main display—my Mac's lid was closed. My 1060 is connected directly to my 1080p TV via the HDMI port on the back of the GPU, and I took this picture from my TV.

FYI, Apple silently added a new key combination along with macOS 10.12.4 upgrade: Shift-Option-Command-R that "reinstalls the macOS that came with your Mac, or the version closest to it that is still available".

The closest available is now 10.12.4 with TB3 Macs.

I found this in NVIDIA forum:   https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1002724/geforce-apple-gpus/pascal-based-graphics-card-drivers-for-macos/post/5125203/#5125203

Pascal drivers are here

*** WARNING *** There are no associated CUDA drivers as yet!!! If you use CUDA don't update just yet....

CUDA works (Node's firmware not yet updated)

Anyone with a TB3 Mac able to test their Pascal setups with 4k video? Is it choppy/laggy in any way? Thanks!

You need the "white menu bar" on the main screen.

All ok here! Very happy!

Better result than my "old" GTX 780Ti from 42 to 48 fps in 4k
