Odd resolution and window positioning issue when waking display/unlocking system

The setup:
2018 Mac mini, Mojave 10.14.3, Vega 64 in Razer Core X, 2 27" LG 4k monitors (27UD58-B to be specific) running in native 4k mode, "Displays have separate Spaces" is not turned on.

The issue:
When I wake the displays (the machine is set to never sleep, just the displays) and unlock the machine (unlock is using Apple Watch, so it's fast) the unlock screen and the desktop are displayed in 1920x1080 HiDPI mode for a brief moment before returning to the correct 4k mode.  Every time this happens all of my windows on the second monitor are shoved over to the first monitor and lose their position and size.

Anyone else seeing something similar and/or have any suggestions for a fix?
