Really sad...

Anyhow THANKS for such a prompt response!!!
Great community here

I'll read the post throughly. Mine is a RED DEVIL RX690XT ULTIMATE 16GB GDDR6
AXRX 6900XTU 16GBD6-3DHE/OC
Gotta say Powercolor tech support is horrible.

@guillem_g, Tech support for any of theses cards on Mac is going to be virtually non-existent due to the nature of the driver development .i.e. its pretty much just Apple themselves making them with a sprinkling of input from AMD.

True about tech support, but I contacted them regarding the three connectors when I only have two and they were honestly useless.

What about 6800 XT -is there any version to avoid too?

Sorry I couldn't find this in the thread, thanks again for helping so much.
BTW I'm happily able to return the card to the retailer, and I must say the build quality of the Core X is far ahead its Sonnet competitor... But the 6900 XT does barely fit in, I'd be so scared it's overheat.

@guillem_g, I haven't seen anything similar about the 6800XT to be honest. I have a 6800XT and 6900XT happily chugging away in two Core X. The 6800XT was squeezed into a Sonnet but I upgraded them both to the Core X as there was no way the 6900XT was going to fit inside physically.

Yes it will fit - you would need the "official" power adapter cables that are needed for non-MPX modules.

But if it was me I would wait and see what's happening... but... if you HAD to buy one now definitely buy the lowest spec (but most cores you can afford) and upgrade yourself.

If there is another Intel one coming, I'd like to think it may offer some better specs in today's marketplace.

Thanks @philw

Was thinking to go with 8 core and replace with W-31075x but one said it cannot be use. according to him W-3275M -> 64 PCIe lane and W-3175x has only 48. W3275M is not possible to afford at the moment. LOL.

@mac_editor, thanks a lot.
But as I'm reading the whole install guide of the OC bootloader by Dortania it seems to involve reinstalling the OS from a USB.
I guess I would be reluctant to install it in my workstation: I tried the hackintosh way years ago and I lost so much time.

Anyhow really awesome you're working on ways we don't depend on what Apple decides we can or can't do...
BTW, Apple will release their W6900XT so I bet there won't be support for XTXH nor the 6700 in the future.

@guillem_g, I would agree. Apple have already warned Redshift Render not to expect much more development on AMD...6700XT specifically called out as not on the roadmap.
