[Sticky] Radeon RX 6800 / RX 6800 XT / RX 6900 XT for macOS -> AMD Navi RDNA2 Support added in 11.4 Beta
@itsage, I see ... well it's the Gigabyte Gaming OC 16G ( not much luck in getting a different one for a "low" price)
I tried both BIOS Setting on the Card. Really odd boot issues ...sometimes it works with one screen, other times with two screens connected, sometimes (mostly) not booting at all with kernel panic or "getting stuck" while booting. Other times it boots fine but while locking in, one of the screens is getting green and the system does freeze ... well, sending back the card I guess ... pretty disappointing.
@fcpxusergermany, I've experienced a similar issue with ASRock Taichi RX 6800 XT. Once I switched the vBIOS to the other position, it was working much better. Each card has its own firmware/s unfortunately and Apple certainly doesn't make things easy.

I just wanted to ask if anybody has had anymore news on the chance of apple brin ging out a driver update for the 6700xt. Its been a while now since the 800 and the 900 where implemented.
Luckily i can still use the card and to play games on my bootcamp partition but having the extra speed for work would certainly be of help.
So, hopefully the new hardware developed for this Fall/Winter’s next-gen mid-range MBP and Mac Mini will show Apple has made some real progress towards ultimately offering similarly powerful graphics options.
Maybe we’ll see these new 2021 mid-range Apple Silicon Macs include at least the equivalent of RX 5500 XT level graphics.
Hello all.. long time lurker (and reader), first time poster (and hopefully without sounding too obtuse).
I recently was able to get a AMD W6600 Pro card.. I'm currently using a RX 580 with a Sonnet Breakaway 750ex box on a 6,1 Mac Pro via Kryptonite (thank you to Kryptonite's creators and contributors). And this combo works great..! However I cannot get the W6600 to be recognized in macOS - macOS sees a card in the chassis but shows just generic chipset info.
I'm pretty sure that the answer to this is that I'm only using this in Windows or Linux until macOS officially supports the W6600 chipset.. right?
Thanks in advance...
System Information: Model: Mac Pro (Late 2013) • CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2690 v2 (20 Threads, 10 Cores) @ 3.00 GHz • Memory: 48.00 GB • Uptime: 2 days • Disk Space: 3.97 TB • Graphics: AMD FirePro D500, AMD FirePro D500, Radeon RX 580 • Main Display: 3200 x 1800 at 30 Hz • OS: macOS Big Sur (Version 11.6, Build 20G165)
Currently a W5700X MPX module with 16GB memory only adds $600 to the cost of the base model Intel Mac Pro. I’m guessing Apple will continue with this option rather than develop a new W6600X module and driver.
