@tsakal, I didn't have time yet to play with it for a longer time so I haven't noticed any performance difference.
I also have 5700XT.Â
As for updating apple software, I didn't update anything recently. Trying to avoid any updates in the windows side as it works OK for now. Don't want to test my luck. 😀Â
Have you tried any other option apart from 1903?Â
Nope, I read here on the forum that this version is the best choice so I just went with that. I only play some Doom casually here and there so I didn't really care if I have the newest win version.
Â
Edit: initially when I installed the setup (a few weeks ago) I had some issues with drivers (bluetooth, etc). Something broke while bootcamp was installing. So I had to download support software from bootcamp assistant in mac os. After installing stuff from there everything works great.

The only issue I've encountered so far is that I'm unable to run at 144Hz refresh rate since upgrading to Big Sur. The options within System Preferences only appear to go up to 100Hz. I believe it's the same issue as described here.
I'm using a 5700XT with Razer Core X and Asus ROG Strix XG27U.
Hoping it's something that gets fixed soon, but in hindsight would have held off upgrading had I known.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.@alex_gibson, this is what I do. The features of big sur are not that important to me at least. The only thing missing is safari YouTube 4K but if you have chrome not a Biggy. If you have a working system I don’t see the reason to upgrade, if not it is a free option.Â

I've got 5700XT and a Razer Chroma X.
MBP16 (MacBookPro16,1) as well as MBP15 (2015 with purgewrangler) both work mighty fine.
No issues whatsoever.
