I have successfully got my NVIDIA 780Ti working natively in Mojave on my Macbook, but there is no sound over Displayport. Is there a workaround? I've installed Lilu.kext, AppleALC Lilu extension, and WhateverGreen. No love.

Any help would be appreciated.

IIRC when I researched this (same problem for older AMD cards such as R9 Fury) it boiled down to patching individually per card based on its ports etc. (from someplace I read). Didn’t look into it further due to low demand/incentive. More insights from Hackintosh community may help. Sadly eGPU is treated differently than a normal (PCIe) GPU in macOS so Hackintosh work (which focuses on those) alone may not be sufficient. But can’t say for sure as I never dove too deep besides trying a few minor patches that didn’t work. Maybe it’s easier for the 780 Ti (haven’t tried).

I think WhateverGreen assimilated its featureset already. Still worth a shot I suppose.

        3. I remember when the web was new, when web pages had a grey background and links you've visited in the past were a different color than links you didn't visit, and they were underlined, and we learned about lists in HTML.

I think all HDMIAudio.kext does is set a property in the ioregistry. WhateverGreen can probably do that but who knows what else it does and do you really want to use all these kexts on a non-Hackintosh?

haha nailed it! Thats what I love about this forum, people share and elaborate so much whereas on TMac I feel the moderators act like gate keepers of knowledge who hand it down as much as they can tolerate doing (a good example os the Beast tools being non open source).

Yes, so you would think WhateverGreen might work for me, but alas no. I'll try the AppleHDMI kext just in case.
