State of eGPU for Macs – Catalina 10.15 Update
Same here, exact same eGPU setup as yours, only with a 2018 MacMini. My eGPU runs all of the time regardless of whether the Mac sleeps. Do you think it would be better to turn off the eGPU manually at night, or just leave it running all of the time? Thanks.
Just noticed the Navi cards are now listed as officially supported in the Apple bulletin as of 10.15.1.
So quick question .
Are the 5700 xt fully supported in Catalina now with no side effects? any issues with boot camp?

I also tried switching the eGPU between ports and have the same result. I can't log in without disconnecting the eGPU and reconnect it.
I've contacted Apple support with no solution so far...
Only now I saw the info in the Sonnettech website that they don't support Catalina with the Mac Mini 2018.
Hope this gets solved soon, because I even have kernel panics with the mac rebooting by it self...
@miguel_pereira Radeon Pro WX 7100 is part of Polaris GPU family. The 2018 Mac mini firmware (following Catalina system update) has a bug that causes boot hang when a Polaris eGPU is connected prior to boot. We will have to wait for Apple to fix this issue.
Has anyone tried Catalina 10.15.2 Dev Beta 1? I'm on the public channel so am unable to install.
